The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into effect on 25 May 2018 replacing the Data Protection Directive (DPD). As a provider of hosted services, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of information security.
At Adepteo we have been preparing for this for the last few months and to ensure compliance we have undertaken a number of actions:
We have assigned a dedicated resource who is a specialist in both risk management and business processes;
We have completed a full audit of both our systems and the data that is received and held. Along side this exercise we have completed a number of Data Impact Assessments (DIPAs) the results of which have been reviewed and have been incorporated into our standard risk assessments.
We are in regular touch with the Information Commissioner's office where appropriate
At Adepteo, we keep to a minimum the information that we hold. Any data that we do hold enables us to:
provide our services to you;
respond to any enquiries / queries you may have;
manage our relationship with you; and
meet our legal obligations.
In general, we would not give your information to third parties, there are however some exceptions such as compliance with any applicable laws and government requests or to operate a 999/911 Emergency Services service.
Adepteo record some of the calls we receive in order to be able to listen to conversations again. This can be particularly useful when helping to diagnose a technical problem, this also allows our staff to go over conversations several times without having to disturb a customer.
Calls are recorded and stored in our secure Adepteo cloud, which is managed, maintained and hosted by Adepteo
